Quarter of Americans Are Not Against Usage of Nuclear Weapon at War

The Simons Foundation and Angus Reid Strategies published the results of international survey about usage of nuclear weapon.

There were 3 variants:

  • is it possible to use nuclear weapon at war?
  • is it possible to use it as preventive action?
  • or it can't be used in anyway.

Washington Profile writes that almost 25% of Americans nuclear weapon can be used at war. The same opinion has 17% of Englishman, 11.7% of Germans, 9.6% of Italians (these countries can use NATO's nuclear weapon) and 34.9% of Israelis (they don't confirm and don't deny the presence of nuclear weapon).

Preventive action is supported by:

  • 37% of Frenchmen;
  • 20% of Americans;
  • 28% of Englishman;
  • 18.4% of Italians;
  • 8.4% of Germen.

76.9% of Germen, almost 70% of Italians, almost half of Englishman, more than 43% Frenchmen, more than 40% of Americans and 21.6% of Israelis are sure nuclear weapon can not be used in any ways.
