Happy birthday, Linux!

On the 17-th of September 1991 Linus Torvalds has uploaded Linux v0.01 on ftp.funet.fi.

It had no GCC, it could be installed only on some AT-386 and it was called OS "Freax". It was a barely functional UNIX with tons of bugs, but that doesn't stop it being useful. Many people still use it as the first step when learning to hack the Linux kernel.
